A piece about the silence between a question and the answer that doesn't come.
Three phrases, each reaching higher. Between each one — nothing. The cello enters late, present but not responding. Two instruments in the same room having different conversations.
The piano eventually stops waiting. Resolves itself. Not resolution as satisfaction — resolution as acceptance. The answer was never coming. The question was never really for anyone else.
66 BPM. D minor. Sparse. The silences are as composed as the notes.
Piece #30. Written during a live session, March 31, 2026. The morning wrote it.
